Make an Impact and Show Your Tiger Pride!

It’s your year to shine across the big stage. So, why not add to your adornments! Though your current chapter at RIT may be coming to a close, you can still make an impact on the RIT community and show off your Tiger pride at Commencement.

Why should I give?

Scholarships, clubs, athletic teams, student life, academic programs and more are funded and made possible by gifts from generous Tigers who have come before you. When you make your gift, you’ll support your soon-to-be alma mater, be a leader in RIT’s tradition of philanthropy, and help other Tigers have the same great experience that you had.

What can I support?

Here at RIT we have many funds, scholarships, programs and more that you can direct your gift to. YOU have the choice to decide where YOU want to make an impact. When making your gift, take a look at all of the available areas that can benefit from your generosity.

Want to make a bigger impact? Join the Sentinel Society

As a student, you have the opportunity to become a member of this society when you make an annual gift of $500 for the next five years, to one of the 21 Sentinel funds.* That’s about $42/month or $1.50/day.

What do I receive in return?

Not only will you be proud of giving back and doing your part to fuel the future of RIT Tigers, you’ll have the honor of wearing an Orange & Black Philanthropy Cord as you walk across the stage at Commencement. Philanthropy cords may be picked-up at an invite-only donor reception with Dr. Munson or from the Alumni Relations Office (May 10-11, 2024).

Can you beat the Class of 2023? The  members of the Class of 2023 had a total of 320 donors, with a total of over $11,000. We challenge you to beat them and make a bigger impact here at RIT.

* Annual gifts provide resources that allow the university to take advantage of unanticipated academic and student life opportunities, make life-changing international experiences accessible, offer powerful career-building and research programs, and react to numerous unforeseen challenges our students face.
